Seminole Man Facing Fourth DUI After Allegedly Admitting To Being Profanely High On Marijuana

A Seminole man allegedly used a colorful word to describe the strength of his high from marijuana when they arrested him last week on suspicion of his fourth DUI.

Deputies say the 32-year-old man first attracted their attention in the early morning hours of February 18 for allegedly driving in a vehicle with lighting that was not sufficient enough to light up its license plate.

Upon approaching the vehicle, deputies say they could smell the odor of liquor, noting that the defendant had bloodshot eyes and was unsteady when standing. Deputies administered to him a field sobriety test, which they say he performed poorly.

When speaking to the deputies, the defendant allegedly said he was high as a vulgar term for sexual activity, and that he had a bowl of marijuana in his pocket. They also say he admitted to smoking marijuana from that bowl earlier that night. He declined to participate in a breath test for alcohol and was arrested at the scene.

The Utah native was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on charges of driving under the influence (fourth offense), driving with a suspended or revoked license (third offense), refusal to submit to testing, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released later that morning after posting a bond of $10,300.

Local media reports say the man was last arrested for DUI in late 2016 and twice in 2012. In addition, he has four prior arrests for possessing marijuana, several driving infractions, twice for resisting arrest, and once for fleeing police, among other charges.
