A tip to Hillsborough County deputies regarding strange activity at a home in a gated community led to an arrest of a Tampa man on a raft of charges relating to illicit drug sales.

Neighbors say the home had long been a hub of activity at all hours of the day and night, with unfamiliar people arriving via all manner of conveyance. Per deputies, the 38-year-old physician’s assistant worked at a med spa during the day and dealt a wide variety of drugs from his home at night.

Investigators say he moved into the neighborhood almost a year ago and immediately operated it as a “crack house” upon moving in. The spike in abnormal activity at the house, and therefore in the neighborhood, was decidedly unwelcome by other residents.

Deputies executed a warrant at the home on Friday, allegedly discovering a significant and diverse cache of illegal drugs and over $7,000 in cash. The Minnesota native was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail later that day on counts of trafficking in phenethylamines, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of uncurrent bills, possession of a controlled substance (dextroamphetamine, testosteronepropionate, and THC edibles), keeping a public nuisance structure for drug sales, and trafficking in amphetamine. He was released the next day after posting a bond of $92,000.
