Seminole Woman Charged with Murder After Allegedly Stabbing Husband to Death
Evidently developing a rage that turned murderous, a Seminole woman was arrested late last week after authorities say she plunged a knife into her husband’s chest, killing him.
Fifty-one-year-old Mary Georgia Pender-Michielson of unincorporated Seminole dialed 9-1-1 early Monday morning to alert authorities that her husband Bruce Michielson had sustained the wound while in their home. The 41-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, succumbing to his injuries shortly after arrival.
Mary was also taken for medical attention for a less serious complaint. While at the hospital detectives indicate that she provided them with inconsistent answers regarding the night’s events. However, they say she maintained that she inflicted the fatal wound, insisting that it was done in self defense. Investigators were not swayed by the story they say she gave them, adding that neighbors informed them of the domestic violence incidents that littered the couple’s past.
Mary was booked into the Pinellas County Jail early last Thursday afternoon on a single charge of second-degree murder. She is being held at present without bond.
