St. Pete Woman Charged with DUI After Allegedly Driving Into Home of Another While Drunk

A St. Petersburg family awoke to find a vehicle in their home that was not there the night before, allegedly deposited there by a woman who was piloting it while under the influence of alcohol.

Elaine A. Ribeiro, also a resident of St. Petersburg, allegedly drove her silver 2013 Toyota into the side of the Disston Heights home around eight o’clock on June 10th. According to St. Petersburg police, Ribeiro, who lists a home address only a few miles south of the house she allegedly struck, declined a field sobriety test.

The forty-year-old native of Brazil was booked into the Pinellas County Jail just past noon that same day on a single charge of driving under the influence. She is being held there at present in lieu of a $500 bond.

None of the nine residents of the home she allegedly struck while intoxicated reported any injury.
