A home at the end of Pine Lake Drive is worse for the wear after a Tampa woman allegedly struck it with her vehicle last week.

Officers of the Tampa Police Department say Danica Ellen Zagara had already been involved in one accident before arriving in the living room of the house at the end of Pine Lake Drive. According to the arresting officers, Zagara told them that she left the Copper Top Pub, five miles to the east, and was traveling home. An individual who witnessed her first alleged collision at Fowler and Florida avenues, followed her and said he witnessed her pilot her 2002 Dodge Intrepid into the residence at around eight o’clock Friday evening.

Police say that the residents of the residence were not in residence at the time of the incident.

Zagara, aged 52, was booked into Hillsborough County Jail just before midnight Friday. According to details given at the time of booking, she possessed a BAC of either 0.93% or 0.98% (Florida statute presumes impairment at a BAC of 0.88%). She was charged with two counts of DUI with property damage, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, and two counts of a third instance of DUI. She bonded out the next morning.
