A St. Petersburg woman is facing multiple counts of attempted murder after a domestic dispute turned violent.

St. Petersburg police say the incident began last Monday when two females were at the 27-year-old suspect's home retrieving items of personal property from within. Parked outside the home was a vehicle with four children within, aged between 4 and 7 years.

Per authorities, the suspect emerged from the dwelling wielding a semi-automatic handgun and began firing rounds at the vehicle. Upon hearing the gunfire, the two other women beat a hasty retreat from the residence, piling into the vehicle and fleeing the scene.

Upon investigation, police say they discovered four bullet holes in the vehicle, plus a fifth hole in a 5-year-old occupant of the car. The wound was not life threatening however, according to police.

No motive or explanation for the suspect's actions has been offered by authorities as yet. The Florida native was arrested later that day and booked into the Pinellas County Jail on six counts of first-degree attempted murder and one count of throwing a deadly missile in an occupied vehicle. She remains in custody on a bond of $910,000.
