A Tampa man is facing arson charges after Hillsborough County authorities say he has ties to a burning home containing a trio of murder victims.

Hillsborough County deputies arrested the 28-year-old man on Saturday pursuant to a warrant issued on him after investigators received video footage they say contains him and one other man in the vicinity of the burned building.

Per investigators, firefighters were dispatched to the home in question on November 15 and, upon extinguishing the fire they found, they also discovered bodies of a 20-year-old man, a 28-year-man, and a 31-year-old man within. Upon further inquiry, investigators determined that the trio died of upper-body trauma prior to the beginning of the conflagration.

Authorities released few other details, including why they believe the man is involved in the arson and his connection to the remains found within. They said the second man captured on video is still at large at the moment.

Deputies affected the arrest of the suspect in question at his home in the pre-dawn hours of December 1. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on one count each of armed burglary of a dwelling, first-degree arson, and tampering with physical evidence. He continues to be held without bond.

Per local media, the suspect was first arrested in Florida eleven years ago. He was released in the spring of last year after completing a seven-year sentence in prison for armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, and aggravated assault with a weapon.
