Tampa police say an argument between two men ended with one dead by the other’s hand last week, and the surviving party is now facing murder charges as a result.
TPD say they received a 9-1-1 call early on December 4 reporting an altercation at a local apartment complex. Upon their arrival, officers say they encountered two 38-year-old men, one of whom bore several stab marks on his body.
First responders attempted to stabilize the wounded man, and he was transported via ambulance to a local hospital. However, the injuries were too severe, proving to be mortal not long after his arrival.
Meanwhile, police took the second man into custody. Authorities did not say what caused the argument, but, upon the other man’s passing, the arrested man was charged with second-degree murder. The Illinois native was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on that charge just before noon on December 4. He continues to be held in custody pending a bond of $100,000.
