McKinsie Alexander Lyons was apprehended by Kentucky police on Wednesday in a rural portion of the commonwealth after Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies obtained a warrant for his arrest in February.

Per Hillsborough County authorities, Lyons is responsible for the January 24th home invasion in Ruskin that ended in the slaying of Alexis Martinez, 24, and Juanita Solorzano, 33, and the resulting death of Solorzano's five-month-old fetus. Investigators say Lyons, in concert with Samona Louise Ramey and a third unidentified individual, ambushed Martinez after drawing him from his home early that morning on the pretext of asking for a ride to another location.

According to investigators, the trio marched Martinez into the bedroom of his own home and executed him within alongside Solarzano. The three individuals then allegedly proceeded to ransack the house in a search for anything of value, including firearms and illicit drugs.

Deputies say they arrived at the home hours after the events to find the remains of both Martinez and Solarzano in pools of their own blood. Additionally, they say they found furniture and belongings strewn about the residence as well as shell casings evidently connected to the robbery and killing.

The 32-year-old Ramey was arrested five days later and is facing two charges of first-degree murder. She has since been ruled incompetent to stand trial and is currently being held without bail.

Kentucky police say Lyons was arrested without incident and is currently awaiting the completion of the extradition process. Local media states that he has prior convictions in Florida of aggravated assault with a weapon, robbery with a weapon, fleeing from law enforcement, carrying a concealed firearm, and possession of cocaine.
