Murder charges have been filed against a Tampa man in connection with a corpse discovered in a USF-area home earlier this month.
Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kadeem Dareem Archibald at the offices of his defense attorney last Monday. A warrant for his arrest on second-degree murder charges was issued for him the previous Thursday, alleging that he is responsible for the death of Khando Nigel Kerr.
Kerr’s body was discovered two days prior to the issuance of the warrant by police responding to a 9-1-1 call summoning them to his home. Officers say they discovered the 38-year-old man’s body not long after he expired as a result of wounds to the upper torso. No other details of the alleged crime were available at the time of this writing.
The 26-year-old Archibald is being held in lieu of $400,000 bond on second-degree murder with a weapon and aggravated battery and great bodily harm. He was previously arrested in late October and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and released after posting a $7,500 bond shortly afterward.
